National Arts Club award for Paddy Maloney

On January 27th, 2011, Paddy Moloney was awarded the prestigious Medal of Honor for lifetime achievement in music from The National Arts Club in New York.

Tribute Speeches were made by Award winning writer, Colum McCann, Riverdance Composer Bill Whelan, Consul General of Ireland Noel Kilkenny, Malachy McCourt, New York City Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, Former Mayor of New York City the Honorable David N. Dinkins and Paddy's daughter Aedin Moloney. Friends and colleagues of Mr. Moloney attended the event to pay tribute and celebrate. These include Art Garfunkel, Jimmy Webb, Amabassador to the United Nations Anne Anderson, Jean Kennedy Smith, writer Peter Quinn and representatives from Culture Ireland & The American Ireland Fund.
