I have played the Chieftains music in my special needs classroon for years. My students came to enjoy it so much that if I faiked to turn it on they would remind me that I needed to start it before we started our work,

Dear Chieftains,
We are delighted that you are coming to Modesto and the Gallo Center for the Arts on 23 February. Nearly 32 years ago, we were married at Our Lady of Victories in Dublin. We came to California in 1983. Your concert here in Modesto will make our celebration all the more special. Our feet are already tapping! We are really looking forward to a lovely evening.
All the best,
Johnny and Mary Mullins

I was fortunate to see your 2006 concert at Carnegie. Elvis Costello belted out A Long Journey Home which to me can only be described as a true anthem to the Irish Americans. This year we will be sitting in the front enjoying every note. I wish my new son Brodie was old enough to make the trip. He is 7 months and loves traditional music already! Please play A long journey home for us. Your music fills the gap between visits to Ireland. Thank you.

Tribute to the Chieftans!
Came home from work this eve.on a wet wintry eve.Saw "Come west along the road " on R.T.E.and enjoyed it so much. We always go to see The Chieftns in concert when they come to Limerick.Their music is so timeless and always reminds us of two and a half years we spent in Zambia from 1970 with no T.V. or radio .we had four long playing records_2 of Nano Miscuri and 2 of The Chieftans and Seбn O'Riada..Those records were so central to our lives for two and a half years a

You brought true Irish music back to life in the US! I heard your music for the first time in 1974, thanks to my dear departed poet friend, Michael Donaghy. He insisted that we listen & by God we did! Bless you all any may you continue lifting our souls with joy for the next century!

I would just like to say how much I love your music. I was introduced to traditonal irish music at a young age when my mother (who was a nurse on the pediatric floor)had a patient from Ireland, who had some comforting music in the delivery room. The music was The Chieftans with James Galway. Since then, I have enjoyed every album I could find. I am in a bluegrass band and your music has influenced so much of my music. Thanks for doing what you all do, and doing it so well. God bless.
