I just got home from seeing the Chieftains at the NAC in Ottawa. Or should I say, I saw *half* of the Chieftains. While it was a thrill to see Paddy and Kevin again, I was most dismayed that the other members were absent, especially Matt Malloy. I'm very disappointed that this formation of the band was not advertised. The music was still good, but it was certainly missing something.

I seen the Chieftains last night in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia and it was an amazing show. The mix of Atlantic Canadian talent and the Chieftains made for a magical night. Bravo.

I have just bought your CD “Down the old plank road. The Nashville sessions”, and I’m delighted. I would like to congratulate you and I hope that one day I shall be able to meet you and listen to you live. (“Give the fiddler a dram”, it’s wonderful!) Thanks for your inspiring music.

The business of watching England navigating their way through this most prestigious of international tournaments is a fraught, tiring and emotional business. Victory must be expected - or there doesn't seem too much point in watching - but defeat should also be anticipated. There are so many variables to consider and so many challenges to contemplate, that the whole business is best served by months of careful advanced preparation.

My son wants to be able to play some of the great music on your CD's, can I get sheet music to Water from the Well, and Tears of Stone or others? He is 11, plays the violin, piano, and is starting harp soon. You are our favorites!

I am taking a course entitled "An Appreciation to World Music" and music in Ireland happened to be our previous unit. For a report in the class, I have chosen the album, Live from Dublin - A Tribute to Derek Bell, and am very excited about it. What talented musicians you all are!
