I am taking a course entitled "An Appreciation to World Music" and music in Ireland happened to be our previous unit. For a report in the class, I have chosen the album, Live from Dublin - A Tribute to Derek Bell, and am very excited about it. What talented musicians you all are!

Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to listen to this wonderful music. When I listen to this music it makes me feel as if I am in a meadow of flowers and lush green green grass surrouding me as I lay on my back and look to the sky, watching the clouds go by. Thanks for your time

I once heard a sea-going song called "Barrett"s Privateers." Did the Chieftains record this? If so, on what album could it be found? Thanks for your help in solving this 20 year mystery!

During your Water from the Well tour you came to St. Louis and had a wonderful female singer perform some songs. What was her name and does she have any records of her own?

For the most part my family came from Ireland, Scotland, and England. We have our music: "Blue Grass" or "Hill Music", and low and behold 130 years later its no different from the Irish. Without the Irish, we wouldn't have the Chieftans. Without the Chieftans we wouldn't know where those wonderful tunes came from. Meanwhile-carry on lads, and may you always be forever young!

Do the Chieftans have any plans to return to Cleveland,Ohio? They have been GREATLY missed!

First I want to say that the show in Cincinnati was fantastic. My only complaint is that whisky wasn't brought out and passed around. :-) I was wondering if there is a recording of Kevin singing. He has a wonderful voice.

The show at Cincinnati's Aronoff theater last Saturday night was the best. The music and The Cottars working with you made the whole thing very enjoyable. The dancing, Jeff White, and Paddy's wit will be indelibly remembered

What is the name of the last selection played Saturday March 4 at the Cincinnati concert? It was the last selection and I really enjoyed it. Paddy said that it was from 1986, and I thought he said it was called Andro. It included bagpipes, and he said that it was traditional from northwest France Celtic region. There was a sort of snake dance accompanying it. I would like to find their album which includes it if available. Thanks, Don

I was very fortunate to be able to attend your concert on St Patrick's day in Toronto last year. It was a wonderful night of music including some young musicians from Atlantic Canada. I know you are usually in New York for St Patrick's day but I very much hope to see you in Toronto again soon. Happy St Patrick's Day!
